The Midnight Sun Fly In Association regrets to announce that the 2021 Midnight Sun Fly In cannot proceed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The ability to welcome visiting pilots and aircraft from across North America is central to the success and popularity of the Midnight Sun Fly In. At the present time, the Canadian border is closed to international travel, the Northwest Territories border is closed to almost everyone except residents and essential workers, and a 14-day isolation requirement applies to almost anyone permitted entry. Indoor/outdoor gathering limits and food service restrictions are also in effect. The combined effect of these measures, while protecting public safety, render it impossible to host a 2021 Fly In.
Now for some good news... plans are already underway for the return of the Midnight Sun Fly In in July 2022!
