The Midnight Sun Fly In is a bi-annual event hosted by the Midnight Sun Fly In Association on the shores of Great Slave Lake at the city of Yellowknife in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Established in 1936, Yellowknife is a community of 19,000, boasting a wide range of amenities and activities. Interests in the area for aviation enthusiasts, especially those traveling by floatplane, include spectacular lakes, hiking, fishing and sightseeing. By summer solstice, Yellowknife receives about 20 hours of daylight with no real darkness, making your visit truly unique.
We're now actively planning for the 2017 Fly In, which will be held in Yellowknife from July 6 to 9, 2017. The host society will ensure that parking and fuel are readily available and a full schedule will again be established to allow pilots and passengers to relax and enjoy their visit. We hope to welcome both new and returning visitors in 2017. Browse the website for tentative schedules and activities, registration information, sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, and much more.
